Mark Giles 

Mark Giles is Chief Technology Officer at CBTS, where he leads the company's technology and Artificial Intelligence strategy. With over 20 years of leadership experience in engineering and technology operations, he brings a long history of capturing value from technological endeavors for internal and external stakeholders.

Mark previously served as CBTS's first VP of Artificial Intelligence, building the company's AI Program Office and the governed method CBTS uses to take AI projects from pilot to production. Before AI, he spent eight years building and running automation and systems integration platforms for the company's largest and most strategic accounts. Earlier, as an Enterprise Solutions Architect, he helped build CBTS's first cloud networking and SD-WAN products, both still among the company's strongest offerings nearly a decade later.

Mark is a Marine Corps veteran. He spent over a decade as a data systems chief and network operations manager, leading communications for deployed units of up to 2,000 Marines and sailors, including two tours supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. The discipline and small-team leadership he learned there still shapes how he runs a technology organization today.

His leadership philosophy is centered in creating collaborative environments, building technical, cross-functional teams that emphasize engineering excellence and providing scalable, targeted solutions for clients.

He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Oregon State University.
