CBTS deployed Claude for Enterprise company-wide across out billion-dollar business and saw 73x ROI in 8 weeks. Here’s the playbook, and why our approach is different.
The Claude for Enterprise AI Playbook, Part 1
Rolling out Claude for Enterprise across a large organization isn’t just a technology decision. AI completely transforms how work gets done. Most companies know they need to move fast on AI to gain competitive advantages in competitive markets. Few know where to start, how to scale it, or how to measure whether it’s actually working.
CBTS does. Because we’ve done it ourselves.
As a top technology services company serving more than 3,000 clients across North America, CBTS doesn’t just advise on enterprise AI deployment. We’ve lived it. Earlier this year, we rolled out Claude Enterprise to all employees globally. What we learned in the process is shaping how we help clients do the same.
Our approach to AI models is multi-model by design. We don’t bet a billion-dollar business on a single provider. We match the best model for each use case. That discipline is why major companies across industries and public sector organizations trust CBTS to build and run the AI infrastructure their business depends on. This specific rollout case study focuses on Claude for Enterprise.
And our approach starts with a different philosophy than most.
The wrong conversation is happening in most leadership meetings on AI
When AI enters the room, the conversation usually turns to cost and headcount. CBTS takes a unique approach to drive business growth. Don’t just go cut the same people you’re going to need to help grow your business. The real thought leaders in this movement are not going to be the ones that dwindle their business down. They’re going to be the ones that figure out how to get the most out of the market.
It’s a perspective grounded in how capacity actually works. Add capability, and demand doesn’t shrink; it grows. The organizations that win with AI won’t be the ones that cut fastest. They’ll be the ones that scale smartest.
73x ROI on our Claude for Enterprise investment in 8 weeks.
Before going company-wide, CBTS ran a pilot. What came back wasn’t incremental. It was a 73x return on investment in under two months, attributable directly to capacity gains. That’s a signal about our best people. The highest performers in any organization share one trait: They’re the ones most buried in work that doesn’t match their ceiling. Complex client work, strategic thinking, revenue-generating judgment calls all compete for headspace with scheduling, formatting, status updates, and the administrative layer that never stops. AI doesn’t make average performers great. It removes the ceiling on people who are already great. Your A-players get to operate like A-players all day, every day.
In our pilot, 1 in 3 employees gained 30 or more hours per week. Non-developers started solving development problems. Leaders closed challenges that had sat untouched for a decade. The throughput gains weren’t evenly distributed. They concentrated at the top, where the leverage is highest.
Three stories from inside our own rollout:
- Sales velocity: A sales director was 12 hours from a no-bid on a $9M RFP. The team was out. The deadline was the next morning. He got a Claude for Enterprise AI license, rallied five people, and committed anyway. Thirteen days later (versus the industry norm of six to eight weeks) the bid made it to round three. The client: Brookfield, $1 trillion AUM. That’s not productivity. That’s pipeline that didn’t exist.
- Business insights: An analytics specialist was manually migrating Power BI reports which includes hours of detailed schema comparison work per report. She built a Claude for Enterprise AI-assisted workflow on her own. Time per report dropped from hours to 20 minutes. She did it on a holiday, unprompted. When we mapped the opportunity: 10,000 to 12,000 enterprises in North America are mid-migration right now. She didn’t just fix her workflow; she built the seed of a new CBTS managed service.
- Technology consolidation: A solutions architect had complained for ten years about a broken transport quoting process across email threads, Excel files, no visibility. Six weeks into his Claude for Enterprise AI access, with no coding background, he replaced a $20,000-per-year third-party tool with a fully functional internal system. No IT ticket. No project committee. Part of a working week.
The same pattern: people who were already good at their jobs, finally unblocked.
The metric that actually matters
Forget agents per employee. Forget utilization rates. Focus on one number: gross profit (GP) per employee.
If you’re maximizing for GP per employee, what you’re actually maximizing for is: Am I delivering services that mean something to the market? That’s ultimately what everyone’s really trying to do if you cut out all the rest of the noise. It’s a discipline that runs through every CBTS engagement. We tie AI to real business outcomes, or don’t bother.
What we bring to clients that others can’t
Most AI vendors are selling technology. CBTS is selling transformation, and we’ve stress-tested our approach on ourselves first.
Through Forge AI, our end-to-end AI advisory, data readiness, and engineering practice, we help clients move from 150 use cases on a whiteboard to the three that will make a difference this quarter. We build the data foundation. We stand up the right environment. And we help organizations build the culture that makes it stick.
Deloitte’s 2026 State of Enterprise AI report found worker access to AI rose 50% in a single year, yet only 34% of organizations are using it to genuinely transform their business. IDC estimates that AI skills shortages alone could cost the global economy $5.5 trillion by 2026 in delayed products, missed revenue, and lost competitiveness. Most organizations have AI tools. They don’t have the operating model to make them work.
Because here’s what we know from the inside: The technology is only half the equation.
Most organizations are asking, “How do we use AI?”
CBTS is asking a better question: how do we build a company where AI unlocks the best work people have ever done? That’s the difference between deploying a tool and leading a transformation. One of those is a line item. The other is a competitive advantage.
The companies that figure this out first won’t just be more efficient. They’ll be operating in markets their competitors can’t even see yet. CBTS has already made that bet: on our own people, our own culture, and our own transformation. Now we’re helping clients make it too.
This is Part 1 of the Claude for Enterprise AI Playbook by CBTS. Part 2 covers the rollout model: How to structure deployment, build the culture, and measure what matters. Coming soon.
